About Us
Ability Africa Foundation (AAF) is a non-governmental organization which was registered in 2015 under societies ACT CAP 108, laws of Kenya.
It champions for the rights of persons with disabilities and other vulnerabilities or marginalized groups in Kenya to fulfill and reach their potential. We work in education, community empowerment, livelihood, and health and above all we strive to promote inclusion through inclusive education.
We strive to create a society where everyone is equally valued and access opportunity to thrive and realize their full potential.
AAF is carrying out campaigns and advocacy programmes which target the communities and duty bearers to ensure that rights issues affecting children and adults with special needs/ disabilities are treated as human rights issues. Child protection is yet another advocacy area focused by AAF .
AAF is currently running Girl’s Education Challenge Transition project which supports disabled girls transiting from primary/secondary to attend vocational training. We work in five sub-counties in Nyanza region; Kisumu, Siaya, Migori, Kuria and Mbita.
