Women with disabilities face numerous challenges in the communities they live, owing to their disability status. Ability Africa Foundation (AAF), in a small way works with a number of women entrepreneurs with various types of disabilities ostensibly to enhance their knowledge and strengthen their skills on business management and financial literacy. This engagement is important because such women need sharper experience in doing their businesses to enable them counter stiff competition among their peers who are not disabled and have upper hand and advantage in facing similar challenges encountered by women with disabilities to survive in the competitive business environment.
